Meet the Water to Wine Team

A great superhost is surrounded by a great team!

Hi there! I’m Rainey, a wife, and mother of nine, with three of the kids married, and eight grandchildren so far! I’ve always been an entrepreneur and in a previous chapter of life, did a lot of catering as well. I have a gift for hospitality, and I love to cook, decorate, and make people feel welcome, especially around my family’s table. Since 2018, I’ve built a reputation as an AirBnB superhost, offering tent and breakfast accommodations at my family’s Glampground property where we offer multiple Safari platform tents, a popular yurt, and a hot, homemade, locally sourced breakfast on a beautiful woodland site surrounding a quiet pond. Our guests repeatedly tell us “there’s something about this place – it’s almost magical!” In 2020, we built an open-air pavilion to further develop my breakfast and mealtime offerings. I also operate two additional rental homes (Rainey’s Rooms) in the nearby village of 600 where I have lived with my family for 30-plus years in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. I invite you to enjoy your getaway here at Water to Wine!

Hey, I’m Jeff, husband to my fabulous wife, Rainey, who’s the superhostess with the mostest here at Water to Wine Glamping & Rentals, and while Rainey is busy cooking up a storm, or cleaning and decorating half the day to make our guests feel welcome, I’m the guy doing all the “chief cook and bottlewasher” chores to keep things humming right along. That means you’ll probably see me stacking firewood, starting a fire and lighting solar lanterns every night, bringing in propane heaters on cooler nights, or assisting Rainey in the mornings at the Dining Pavilion I helped our sons build in 2020.

We love our family (nine kids, three married, and eight grandkids – can’t beat the grandpa gig, it’s the best ever!) and we love welcoming our guests so that they have a great time and start to feel like family before they leave our property. Need anything? Let us know, and we’re happy to help.

Hey, I’m Mercy, and I take after my mama in entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve been helping my family run our property rental business since I was pretty young, and I now manage a few side hustles of my own. You might see me around our Glampground or rental homes, or chat with me on the phone. I’m here to help and look forward to meeting you!

"This is glamping at its best."

"This is glamping at its best. We didn’t need to bring anything since Rainey had a fully stocked site with everything from cookware and condiments to bug spray and back up toiletries in case we forgot anything. We took full advantage of the paddle boats, walking trails, fire pit, camp showers, and chair swings. We were serenaded to sleep by a choir of bullfrogs and awoke to birds chirping in our fully furnished AND COMFORTABLE real bed. The space had great air flow and was well shaded even during the hottest part of the day when we were packing up to leave. Breakfast was fantastic too and delivered with a smile. I wish we were able to spend more time relaxing beside the pond. Rainey’s place is great for couples looking to get away and explore the local wineries but would be equally awesome for families. Very hospitable and accommodating hosts."

What an amazingly comfortable stay!!! This is a perfect place for you if you like camping but maybe your family doesn’t like to rough-it as much as you do. It’s really a perfect balance af camping and comfort. The yurt was perfectly cozy and all the other tents on site looked great as well. The hosts are some of the most thoughtful and kind people that you’ll have the pleasure of meeting. They’ll make sure your needs are taken care of, but they’ll give you privacy if that’s what you want. Rainey’s breakfasts are amazing and if you really want to be taken care of, say yes to the dinners if offered I can’t say enough things nice things about this place, and we’re already planning a return trip!

Amazing place!!!! 5 stars for everything!!!! Would love to go back. Rainey and Jeff are very nice and welcoming people. Glamping is something new for us and they really did everything to make sure we love it and think about doing it again. Breakfast was delicious, homemade and all local ingredients. Owners really took an extra mile to be there for you, anything you need. Thank you for this unique experience.

Rainey and her husband are truly angels. Everyone who gets to stay at this camp is lucky. The experience was impeccable. The room was immaculate. We were so impressed with how kind Rainey and her husband were to us and how they catered to our dietary needs (vegan). They really went above and beyond and it did not go unnoticed. I wish anyone who stays here a blessed time and that they enjoy the blue fire and paint some rocks. Until next time.

What can I say? One of the most memorable and magical trips I’ve had in a long time. This place is special. Hard to describe but hosts are over the top wonderful, facility is much better than expected and although no WiFi, Verizon cell service was great. It’s a special spot. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed in this magical little yurt for our wedding anniversary and we have made some beautiful memories for years to come. The yurt is unique, with a super comfortable bed, your own clean outdoor bathroom amenities, a picnic table and beautiful view of a small pond outside your doorstep. The place is so special and convenient, with Canandaigua only a few miles away for a day of kayaking or some visits to wineries and breweries. What made this a truly magical weekend was Rainey's and Jeff's hospitality. They make such a great team together, bringing you the most delicious breakfasts you could imagine and creating a fun evening atmosphere with a blazing fire and your very own s'mores kit. I HIGHLY recommend doing the dinner basket option if offered- the salmon was out of this world. Rainey is simply a phenomenal cook! We absolutely loved our time at this camp, getting to know our hosts and our neighbors staying in the tents nearby. Can't recommend this enough for anyone curious about glamping or just needing a little getaway in nature.

You will not regret this stay, the yurt is a dream! The bed was the most comfortable that i had ever slept in. The property was stunning and you're SO close to the lake and what Western NY has to offer.

It was our first time glamping with a toddler and it was way better than we imagined! Our tent was super cute and cozy, we had plenty of space for all of our baby stuff. The breakfast and dinners were amazing! Rainey is a great cook! We just had an awesome experience overall.

Rainey and Jeff were so warm and welcoming from the moment we pulled up. We loved the experience of staying in the cozy yurt while the rain tapped on the roof and we were warm and dry inside. We got to paddleboat out on the pond and saw a ton of frogs, birds, and fish. A weekend off the grid was exactly what we needed to relax and reset. Rainey and Jeff will make your stay memorable and comfortable. The farm breakfast on Sunday morning was an out of this world feast!

What a cool experience!!! A bed and breakfast yurt totally offline. The description should read perfectly located between TJ Maxx/Homegoods and Canandaigua Lake. I will definitely be back.
