TESTING ONLY: Short Stop: Cozy Village Home

Nestled in a small village of just 600 people, this cozy single-story home on a quiet side street can sleep up to 6 guests in three bedrooms. The first bedroom features a queen-size bed, the second holds twin trundles, and the third features a daybed and queen. A private entrance and single hallway leads to a kitchen, dining nook, comfortable living room, 1.5 baths, all three bedrooms, and even a washer and dryer for your travel convenience. A spacious deck boasting a BBQ grill and patio furniture overlooks a roomy lawn so you’re sure to enjoy lots of peace and quiet during your stay.

Within easy walking distance of about one block, you’ll find a cozy corner store, local bank, post office, and a cheerful diner for breakfast or lunch. In harvest season,  a short drive about three miles or less in almost any direction will take you right by Mennonite farm stands boasting fresh local produce, baked goods and occasionally, farm-fresh eggs, meats and dairy items.

The location:
This home is comfortably furnished and within walking distance of village amenities, including a corner store for incidentals, a cheery diner where you can get breakfast or lunch, a neighborhood library reading room, bank, post office and gas station. The village is centrally located  7 miles southeast of Canandaigua Lake, 14 miles north of Keuka Lake and 14 miles West of Seneca Lake, putting you within easy driving distance of numerous local wineries, breweries, cideries, hiking trails, family farm stands for fresh fruit, produce and baked goods, and other popular FLX destinations.

Fun facts: Our safe and cozy village neighborhood boasts a “good ole days” feel, and was at one time the birthplace of pioneer Marcus Whitman. Our horse-and-buggy neighbors are friendly additions to our community and serve as some of the primary providers of locally sourced, organic produce.

Getting around:
The best way to see the area’s sites is by car, unless of course, you’d like us to hook you up with a redneck driver and a diesel pick- up truck. Pontoon boat rides on one of our nearby Finger Lakes make for a great afternoon or evening. Upon occasion and with advance notice, we can help coordinate either of those options, should you be interested!

Transportation Options:
Need a ride somewhere? You will find Uber drivers and limo/winery tour services available.
With advance notice and reservation, our management can also accommodate transport to and from the nearby CMAC concert venue just outside of Canandaigua. It just so happens, there’s not a single stoplight between here and there, so you can reach the CMAC in approximately 10 minutes.
